Office Hours
During this internship, I didn't only work all the home games, but also worked in the front office twice a week. Every Wednesday and Friday from 10a.m to 2p.m I worked in the front office for Jason Jones, the director of ticket sales for the Worcester Sharks. I did a lot of different things for Jason including research for prospective ticket consumers, handing out/delivering promotional fliers, sending e-mails to many different organizations trying to get them to come out for a game, and filing/organizing Jason's paperwork. This was the best part of the internship because I was able to learn more about advertising and public relations strategies which is why I took this internship.

Kids Club
Kids Club is a promotion for the Worcester Sharks that tries to get the large amount of children followers involved with the organization. By working the kids club table we run the prize wheel game which is a huge seller amount the kids. It only cost one dollar to spin the wheel and every spin gets a prize. The kids love this game and the table gets busy before the game and during the second intermission. Another aspect of the Kids Club is memberships which get the kids more involved by giving out free tickets for members, t-shirts, prizes, and many promotions are presented to the members. The memberships cost 15$, but it is well worth it.

Patriots Cheerleader Assistant
For one game this year, the Worcester Sharks brought in two patriots cheerleaders to promote their new calendar while attracting a lot more fans to the game. As their assistant I made sure that the two ladies were on time for their autograph session and that every fan got to get pictures with the girls. Basically, I was their security guard for the night. It was a fun night because the fans were very excited to see the cheerleaders and the little girls in attendance were lining up just to see these girls. It was a great experience for me because I got to meet these cheerleaders and see them from a different side than most people see.
MC Assistant
The MC assistant is an in-game promotional job that entails making sure our in-game promoter is where he's supposed to be at certain times. There is a lot of running around the concourse picking out contestants for the different promotions during the game, making sure to keep constant communications with the camera crew, and making sure the MC is on time to the promotions. This was probably the best job available for the interns and I enjoyed the times that I did it.
